Oxford Venture Angels is a spinout of Cambridge Angels, a highly credible group of active angel investors that have invested in over 150 companies and typically deploy ~ £40m per year. The core members of the Oxford Venture Angels are and remain members of Cambridge Angels.

We are an invitation-only group with the large majority of members being exited entrepreneurs, often in tech and healthcare, so they come with extraordinary operational expertise. Membership is capped at 60, alongside several corporate members from Venture Capital. The approach follows that of Cambridge Angels, in that:

Angels participate directly in supporting entrepreneurs by advising start-up companies at the strategic level, whilst also leveraging our network of contacts to assist at an operational level.
Members receive curated, high-quality deal flow aligned with the group’s investment criteria, and access to our wider network of experienced exited entrepreneurs. The shared expertise of our members is one of the key things our members value.
All members have the option, but not the obligation, to invest in any given start-up company. Members can share investment opportunities across the combined group.
Our investment process is optimized to help entrepreneurs and we host ‘office hours’ which allows entrepreneurs to get free one-on-one, no obligation, feedback from an experienced investor.
Our costs are paid for from membership fees and sponsorship and no charges are levied on companies, nor do we charge pitching or ‘carry' fees.

We hold many events to foster collaboration between our members and also our native ecosystem and the universities at their hearts.
