Leveraging our expertise, network, and capital, we’re able to help founders translate their cutting edge innovation into commercially successful entities that can make a huge difference to humanity.
Giving an unfair advantage to early stage companies
We are an invite-only group, and the large majority of members are exited entrepreneurs. As a result the group contains an extraordinary mass of operational expertise across multiple sectors and industries. This enables us to validate complex innovation and provide an unfair advantage to companies over their competition. Members gain access to a wider range of companies across different sectors, benefitting from the validation of other members in the group who can spot the best investment opportunities in their industry.
Discovering the best of Oxfordshire talent
We have an extensive network that is tapped into all areas of science and innovation around Oxfordshire (both within and external to the universities). The depth of our partnerships and the value we bring gives us sight of the most promising startups whilst they’re still in the lab, giving you investment access long before they’re in the public domain. Members are also encouraged to introduce startups they’re looking to invest in, helping boost those companies by getting access to the wider expertise, capital, and network of the group.
Learn from the group
Our members look to learn from each other as well as sharing their own insights with the group. The depth of entrepreneurial and investment expertise makes it a great place to expand your understanding of different sectors and develop your abilities as an investor. Many of our members have spent more time building companies than investing in them, and by connecting with the experienced investors in the group we provide a great platform to learn and develop as an angel. We actively foster this through events and other learning opportunities, making sure that as a collective we’re constantly improving and staying at the forefront of our industry.
Membership Details
Membership is capped at 60, alongside 5 corporate members from the VC community.
Members are high net worth individuals and active angel investors, responsible for their own individual investment decisions within the group.
All members have the option, but not the obligation, to invest in any given start-up company, and can share investment opportunities across the combined group.
Our costs are paid for from membership fees and sponsorship. There are no charges levied on companies, nor do we charge pitching or ‘carry' fees.
We hold several in-person pitch events throughout the year, as well as other events, including opportunities for members to engage with founders and socialise with the group.
